Unit 43.2/Counter Culture

Counter Culture

Counter Culture is someone who is involved in a group, and break the rules or be a bit rebellious because they disagree or do not follow the rules set by their parents or guardian. Different social groups  are given names from how they dress and act. For example, the different social groups you could come across are, 'chavs', 'punks', and many more different groups. 'Chavs' are known for dressing scruffily. For boys its usually tracksuits and trainers and wander the streets as if they are bigger than anyone else, for girls it could be the same. 'Chavs' usually live on council estates with their families and sometimes cannot help what they are but often come from uncaring, out of work parents.
However, you could the odd person who just wants to fit in, and dresses the same as what 'chavs' do so they don't feel out of place. A lot of people in social groups are stereotyped for what they are named after which what counter culture is.
